Sessions

Date: Wednesday, April 2, 2025 | 9:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Location: Rivera Ballroom

Speakers:

  • Chris, Chapin, Senior Managing Partner, DXC Technology
  • Drew Schimmel, Lead Manufacturing Specialist, GE Aerospace

Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) adoption is driving sweeping changes in the aerospace & defense industry, and its already proven benefits are compelling product manufacturers to devote considerable resources to the pursuit of MBE maturity through the development of advanced engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

One of the key challenges of MBE maturity is the harmonization of business processes and digital platforms that support the entire product lifecycle.  Integrated process planning – the critical transition from product design and engineering to manufacturing – presents a significant challenge to achieve this harmonization with new and powerful capabilities combined with new ways of working presenting changes to organizational norms.

In this presentation, you will learn about GE Aerospace’s journey to define integrated process planning across its engineering and manufacturing organizations supported by its PLM and MOM platforms.  Attendees will learn about:

  • Defining a harmonized process view for engineering and manufacturing,
  • Defining best-fit process support across digital platforms,
  • Challenges – both people and technology,
  • Lessons learned – valuable insights you can apply to your own journey.

Join us for a lively discussion of this challenging journey and accelerate your own path to MBE maturity.

Date: Wednesday, April 2, 2025 | 4:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

Location: Capri Room

Speaker: Justin Beltramo, Senior Managing Partner, DXC Technology

In the rapidly evolving manufacturing landscape, transformation has emerged as a pivotal force reshaping operational paradigms and driving unprecedented innovation. These transformational activities create a great deal of disruption and confusion when they are rolled out using the “Big Bang” approach and even phased deployments can disrupt operations and delay value realization. This 30-minute presentation delves into creating continuous value through use case deployments.  Beginning with an exploration of the foundational principles of use case transformation, the presentation will elucidate how advancements in systems architecture and capability-based platforms are paving the way for rapid, flexible, and scalable transformational value.  Justin Beltramo, DXC’s Industry Advantage Leader, will share comprehensive, pragmatic insight on how use case-based transformation is enabling changes in production operations today, as well as a forward-looking perspective on the future of industrial transformation.

Moreover, Justin will address some of the critical challenges and barriers DXC has encountered in the adoption of use case-based transformation and the enabling technologies within industrial settings. This session will allow attendees to better understand how to navigate these obstacles and leverage transformation as a catalyst for sustainable competitive advantage.

Attendees will leave with actionable insight and a renewed perspective on how to navigate the manufacturing landscape and thrive in the era of transformation.
